Sidelights (red – green) port & starboard

The green sidelight, also known as the starboard light, serves as a navigational light that illuminates a vessel's starboard (right) side. This green light not only enhances the vessel's visibility at night but also plays a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient navigation on the water. By indicating the starboard side, it assists other vessels in determining the orientation and direction of the ship, enabling them to pass safely and avoid potential collisions.  

The red sidelight serves as a light, illuminating the vessel's port (left) side with its radiant glow. This indication not only enhances visibility but also symbolizes the essence of safety and navigation. As the vessel cuts through the waves, the red sidelight stands as a constant reminder of the port side.
