Boating restriction signs
Boating restriction signs serve as important indicators of specific limitations that may be imposed on various waterways. These restrictions can include speed limits, engine power constraints, and even regulations on watersports activities. Failing to comply with a restriction (either posted or unposted) can result in substantial fines for the operator.
Displayed in an orange frame, these signs feature symbols that directly communicate the type of boating restrictions in effect. When shaped like an arrow, the restriction applies in the direction indicated by the sign. Some signs may also have a green border, indicating the presence of additional special conditions for the restriction.
It is crucial to always stay informed about the current restrictions in place on the waterway where you intend to go.
