Hazard buoy

What is a hazard buoy?

Hazard buoys or markers indicate random hazards such as rocks and shoal. A hazard buoy is colored white with an orange diamond on two opposite sides and two orange horizontal bands.

Not all shallow areas or submerged hazards are marked by a hazard buoy. If you run aground in a vessel, you should stop the engine and check the passengers onboard to make sure no one is injured or in danger.
